CodeCook is a VS Code extension. This page covers the extension’s credentials and this marketing site. There is no separate terms page.
API keys
Provider API keys are stored in VS Code Secret Storage on this install. CodeCook does not send those keys to a Makayis backend. There isn’t one for credentials.
When a turn runs, the key for the provider you selected is sent to that provider so the model can answer. Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Azure, and AWS each receive only the call you make to them.
Google sign-in
Signing in with Google uses a desktop OAuth client. The token request sends that client secret to Google. GitHub sign-in uses the device flow and does not send a GitHub client secret from the extension.
This website
The pages at this host are static. They load Firebase Analytics, which can record a page view and related analytics events for the marketing site. That measurement is separate from the API keys in VS Code.
